Connection. Sure; decorating workspaces with artworks is the most tangible visible outcome. The real goal of this program is for people to feel connected to their colleagues and build friendships within the company.
- $6,000 minimum program cost for small companies or just trying it out to see how your people respond.
- $22,000 for a full program with 300+ employees.
- Pricing structures are available for year long interaction with multiple locations or campuses at $30,000 a year.
Rates include all program services, online interaction platform for program activities, and ready to hang artworks.
By the averages, companies of 300 or more will have enough artistic hobbyists or professionals in their ranks to make the program successful. If you're a small company with people who are excited about the program I'm not going to say no. Fit with culture is more important than size.
All artistic evaluation, artwork editing, preparation and mounting is handled by us. There will be opportunities for artists within your company to lead program activities if they wish to, but it's never required.
A minimum investment of 30 to 40 hours will get the job done. Of course, your organization will get out whatever you put into it. Program sponsor efforts go into announcements, marketing throughout the company to generate awareness and excitement, getting buy-in from senior staff, helping plan where artworks are displayed, and orchestrating program wrap up or even public exhibition. A program can be very simple or as complex and dynamic as you'd like to make it.
Nope. All activities and artwork submission and discussion are hosted on platforms we already have in place. You won't need to do any technical setup. For very security conscious companies we may have to get some service urls whitelisted to be accessed from your company network if you're allowing people to participate during their workday from the office, or when using company issued computers, iPads, or phones.
We focus on serving the 48 US states right now. I'm happy to work with European based companies and have great vendors there to reduce shipping costs. The travel costs are prohibitive but if funding isn't a barrier for you then let's talk.
We start off with an assessment round to find out if there are enough people in the company with an interest and with the capability to produce worthwhile artworks. There's not really a minimum. We do want to make sure to capture enough interest to make the program worth doing.
Flat artworks - anything we can hang on a wall.
- Painting
- Photographs
- Printmaking
- Drawing
- Graphic renderings
- Textiles that can be mounted
Sculptures, pottery, fabrics, jewelry, glass work. You can certainly make a judgement call here to accept them if you have people who are talented in these mediums and you have a place to display the work.
Also; since we're decorating spaces with artistic artworks, we're not looking for snapshots of family and friends that people are hoping to get framed.
I have a framework that covers the needs and ambitions of most companies. I don't stray from this framework with new clients for the first two years. Going into year three and four together it will probably be time to put our heads together and mold the program to serve the ripples it has started to create in your company culture.
Our goal is actually to draw out anyone and everyone to participate. If someone took a cell phone photo on vacation that they want to get printed; let's see it. This isn't a professional gallery show. We're celebrating the lives and creativity of your people and helping them get to know unique facets of one another in the process.
Artwork should decorate hallways, sales floors, dining & cafe spaces, conference rooms, gyms, or other common areas where employees do their day to day work. We leave them hanging for up to a year. Personal cues are needed just as much in a corporate space or in a home office.
Employees own their artworks. They can move them into a personal office or take them to display in their own home. The program is intended to repeat yearly so you have fresh artworks in the offices once a year.
For a full program at $22,000 or more and 80 artworks or more I come hang them myself. For the basic or standard program, all artworks are shipped to you ready to hang.
I use an online community platform called Mighty Networks to communicate with everyone and to host all program activities. It's completely private and not linked to any social networks. People can join using their work or personal email.
Artwork submission and online company galleries of submissions are hosted on SmugMug where I've been managing my own and clients artwork and imaging projects since 2008.
My first choice is a custom photography and art printing and framing shop twenty minutes from my house in Northern Colorado. I can check on production at any time and we have a long relationship working together. If shipping costs are prohibitive I will find a comparable shop close to your location that meets my standards.
The prints are done professionally because you care about your employees. It’s true that there are many ways to print and frame an image very inexpensively. Cheaply produced images have no “archival quality” meaning they fade quickly and the paper or media they’re printed on will look aged after only a year or two; basically, they look cheap. I am helping you to prepare top quality images to display in a professional environment. Let’s do it right. I think you’ll find my print pricing; even with shipping, to be the same or lower than your local professional labs. My pricing and fees are also comparable with art rotation services and I create a higher quality finished print that your employees will enjoy for many years.
Original artworks like sketches, paintings, printmaking, textiles; are never shipped I get the dimensions of the artwork canvas from the creator. Those dimensions go to my frame shop to make a custom frame for the artwork. When I come to mount and hang artworks in person, I stretch and mount the artwork at that time.
Purple. It's so hard to get a satisfying purple in a photo, or when mixing paint. Making a truly attractive purple and using it in a meaningful way just makes me so happy.
